How to Prep Your Lawn Mower for Off-Season Storage

As the mowing season winds down, it’s important to properly prepare your lawn mower for storage. Taking the right steps now will protect your investment, extend the life of your machine, and ensure it’s ready to start strong next spring. 1. Clean Your Mower Thoroughly

Grass clippings, dirt, and debris can build up under the deck and around moving parts. Before putting your mower away:

  • Scrape off grass and mud from the mower deck.

  • Use a hose or air compressor to blow off dust and debris.

  • Dry everything completely to prevent rust.

2. Change the Oil
